Joanna stared at her daughter. The girl was bright. Joanna knew that.

"I don't know why you're being difficult," Joanna snapped. Holly only stared with curious eyes.
"One more time, okay?" Joanna chirped. "Parallelogram. Say it."
Holly smiled. "Parawaa?"
"No!" Joanna cried. "You said it once before. What's wrong?"
"I think what's wrong is she's four months old," Arnadia said next to Jo, and turned a page in her historical romance. "Four month old babies tend not to speak articulately. Be lucky she spoke at all."
Joanna glared at Holly determinedly. "Paralellogram, damn it!"
"Pawago!" Holly said, and giggled.
